This site contains material that is intended for mature audiences of 18 and over. I write and read adult romance after all, so posts may get a little racy around here. And there will be cussing. You’ve been warned.
Nothing like a Rated-R welcome when greeting new neighbors, am I right? Hah.
Could be worse…I could’ve greeted you nekkid. Not that I would ever do that. I’m a bit paranoid and more than a little self-conscious about my body.
Whether you stumbled upon This Creative Daisy by chance or coming here was an intentional decision, I warmly welcome you and I thank you for your visit.
I started this blog as something of an outlet.
You see, I’m going through a good mid-life crisis.
It is good, I promise you. At the age of 46, I realized that if I don’t do what I want to do NOW, it’ll never happen.
So I’m going to make it happen and fuck the naysayers.
Just so you’re aware, I’m not your typical 46-yr-old black woman. Whatever picture you have in your head of what that looks like <holds up a wand a la Men In Black, puts on sunglasses and presses the button> it has now been erased.
I’m young at heart and I attribute that to being a former writer of YA fiction.
I watched Beverly Hills, 90210. Back in the day.
I was addicted to Angel and Buffy the Vampire Slayer.
I went to see the teenybopper movies.
I watched the Disney Channel (even though I have no kids) and Nickelodeon.
I go see Disney movies and watch Disney cartoons (Sleeping Beauty is my all-time favorite).
I prefer alternative music to hip hop. (Linkin Park is my favorite band. R.I.P. Chester)
I shop at Forever 21, Old Navy and Aeropostale. If I could wear nothing but oversized shirts over leggings for the rest of my life, I’d be a happy camper. #minimalist wardrobe
So much to learn about this not-so-typical 46-year-old woman. Hope you’ll stick around for the journey.
